Prioritise
Take a step back and figure out what's important to you. Spend more time trying to accomplish these things, and less time on all the other stuff that clutters up your day.
Enjoy the Simple Things
Make a conscious effort to change your attitude towards everyday activities. This way things like doing the dishes become valuable times to reflect instead of chores.
Mediate
The aim of meditation is to stop the mind from taking over so that you can experience the present. Try it on your own, in a class, or through activities like yoga.
Cut Down On Screen Time
Think about how much time you spend in front of the computer or TV. Now take a portion of that and reserve it especially for yourself.
Slow Down!
These days rushing is the norm, but it shouldn't be. Pause, relax and slow everything down. What's the worst that could happen?
Leave Space Between Activities
Try not to book out your entire day. You'll only end up stressing trying to squeeze everything in. You can use the space in between to focus on yourself.
Say No!
It's a very important word. You don't have to take on every activity or appointment that's asked of you. Learning to say ‘no' will mean less obligations to others, and a greater obligation to yourself.
