Grow your own veggie patch.

It doesn't matter if you have a green thumb or a French manicured thumb, there's no reason why you can't grow herbs and vegetables in your very own backyard! It's easy to get started, and you'll be constantly rewarded for your efforts with deliciously fresh veggies! Here's how…
- Choose a spot for your veggie patch that gets plenty of sunshine.
- Break up and turn the soil, then mix in some compost.
- Decide which seedlings to plant based on how much space you have, and the time of year. Check the labels on the seedlings before you buy them for this information.
- Keep the seedlings moist and make sure you have time to plant them within the next three days.
- Plant them in rows and be sure to label them.
- Water frequently, up to twice a day if it's hot.
- Start planning the amazing meals you can create while you wait for them to grow!
Don't have space for a veggie garden outside? No problem. Why not create a window sill garden? Herbs like parsley, basil and mint grow wonderfully in pots and all you need is some sunshine and water to grow fresh aromatic herbs that will add zest to any meal!
